2020 Annual Benefit

~ A Virtual Event ~

When: Thursday, October 8th, 7:00 PM

Where: Virtually on facebook.com/wingsforwidows

In May we announced our plans to host our inaugural Annual Benefit on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at the Interlachen Country Club. Due to the continuing pandemic and the safety concerns presented with large gatherings we are now hosting a virtual event beginning at 7 o’clock pm on Facebook “Live.”

While it saddens us to be unable to tell our story in person, we do have an amazing story to tell and hope you will join us for the event. We have hired an award-winning production team to assist us and our emcee Michael Pearce Donley of Triple Espresso will undoubtedly work his stage magic.

Our goal is simple: share our story and the story of the widows we serve. We want to raise awareness of the opportunities to assist widows and if we can put a little jingle in our pocket, that would be nice, too. After all, we’re an all-volunteer nonprofit and we don’t charge for our services.

The wonder of a virtual event is that we are not limited to any number of seats – we can reach the world! We will be deploying an aggressive digital marketing campaign to increase viewership, including the use of a prize drawing for a trip to Hawaii in 2021 (see official rules).

All proceeds raised during this event will benefit the expansion of our financial coaching programs. We currently serve the great State of Minnesota but will soon begin serving widows from coast to coast. Wings for Widows is a 501(c)3 organization and contributions are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law. Thank you for your generosity and support.
